A quick look at playoff scoring using the comparative zone shooting discussed previously on this site. Sure, we are only two games in, but it will be an interesting thing to check back in on from time to time as the playoffs progress.
I think that a prudent place to start this is to show the end of season ranking for every team. From there we can look at their current playoff zone shooting ranks and see if they've taken steps up or down in the post-season.
Now, let's take a look at our playoff team's comparative zone ranks so far through the playoffs. This tells a pretty clear story of the playoffs actually. Mostly blowouts, only two series tied up after 2. OKC dropped a turd of a game in game 2 and I think that's pretty clearly evident in their CZR Score. Expect this to level out given a few more games in the sample. Miami is shooting out of their minds. Even if they regress back to their regular season level you would expect to see Charlotte still struggle. The most intriguing information provided here is the competitiveness of the Toronto - Indiana series. That will be the one to watch in this historically awful first round.
